SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — San Francisco Giants outfielder Norichika Aoki continued his hot spring for his new team, extending his preseason hitting streak to seven games on Sunday.

Aoki, who joined the World Series champion from the Kansas City Royals, went 1-for-3 with a walk in an 11-9 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“I’m as ready as I’ve ever been,” said Aoki, who is approaching his fourth year in the major leagues.

Aoki got hold of a high fastball in the second inning and lashed it into right field for a single. In his two other at-bats, he hit the ball hard but lined out.

Meanwhile, Ichiro Suzuki, entering the game as a pinch-runner, stole his first base of the spring in the Florida Marlins’ 11-7 loss to the Washington Nationals.

Suzuki remained in a game and played center field, and went hitless in two at-bats.
